Making Love Out Of Nothing At All
by Air Supply
written by Jim Steinman

I know just how to whisper,
And I know just how to cry;
I know just where I find the answers;
And I know just how to lie.
I know just how to fake it,
And I know just how to scheme;
I know just when to face the truth,
And then I know just when to dream.
And I know just where I touch you,
And I know just what to prove;
I know when to pull you closer,
And I know when to let you loose.
And I know the night is fading,

And I know the time’s gonna fly;
And I'm never gonna tell you everything I gotta tell you,
But I know I've got to give it a try.
And I know the roads to riches,

And I know the ways to pain;
I know all the rules and then I know how to break'em
And then I always know the name of the game.

But I don't know how to leave you,
And I'll never let you fall;
And I don't know how you do it,

Making love
out of nothing at all x8

Everytime I see you well the rays of the sun are all
Streaming through the waves in your hair;
And every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes
Like a spotlight,
The beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost
And it's looking for a rhythm like you.
You can take the darkness from the deep of the night
And turn it to a beacon burning endlessly bright.
I gotta follow, it 'cause everything I know
Well, it's nothing 'till I give it to you.

I can make the run or stumble,
I can make the final block;
And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle,
And I can make all the stadiums rock.
I can make tonight forever,

Or I can make it disappear by the dawn;
And I can make you every promise that's ever been made
And I can make all your demons be gone,

But I'm never gonna make it without you.
Do you really wanna see me crawl ?
And I'm never gonna make it like you do,
Making love
out of nothing at all.
Making love

Out of nothing at all...

Wei Ren Speaking,

What the?! It's 2007 already! Time really flies. From day to day, month to month, and now, year to year. Soon when we get older, we'll know how it's like for tine to fly from decade to decade.

It's already the second week of the new year. And that means I haven't been posting for three weeks more or less. Alright, since I'm experiencing a 1 week break from my work, I shall continue from when I stopped.

Hmm... My last post is on... Saturday, 24 December 2006. Alright!

24 December 2006 - Sunday

It's X'mas Eve. And on this day every year, my family will be hosting the annual X'mas party! It has been part of the tradition and that is why, ever since as a child, I had always been looking forward for X'mas to arrive, not because Santa Claus will give me whatever I want, but rather, to celebrate with my family as a whole. Let me recall- when did this tradition started? When I was six years old... and that means 2006 is the 10th Celebration! Cool!

What's more, this year's celebration was put to a huge surprise by me! Well, it's the first time I'm giving out presents to everyone in my family. And also to my friends as well. These presents are specially made by my own hands, and each of them are unique and different from each other. Well it took me four nights to finish them up. Cuz I have to work in the day and it's only in the night can the creative side of me be active. It cost me $130+ altogether to buy all the materials and in total I made 40 presents! So that's roughly $3 each. and also the cost of fatigue for lack of sleep, hunger from money shortage due to using up $100 over at once and also the effort I put in. And that's why I'm proud of these gifts I made. All forty of these are given to their respective recipients except a rejected one. Ironically, the rejected one is the most valuable, most time consuming one to make and the one which I put in the most effort to design and create. This poor little masterpiece is now lying down in my room, and I have no idea how long it's gonna lie down there for. Just too bad for me. Most of the presents were given to my family. It doesn't only consist of my mum and dad. Rather, it includes all my relatives- uncles, aunties, cousins, and my beloved grandpa whom I resides with. 20 of them altogether. The rest of the gifts are given to those friends whom I'm meeting over the next few days. Actually I would really like to make more presents as there are some more friends I would like to give yet I couldn't get a chance to meet up with them, so I just have to drop to idea. Sorry guys. X'mas 2006 is the best Christmas for me, yet! It will be infinite times better, if that little rejected one, will be appreciated not just by me, but by the respective recipient as well.

25 December 2006 - Monday
Had X'mas dinner with Gregory, Xing Fu, Brendan, Melissa and Weni. It was at The Ship Resturant, at Shaw Centre, Orchard. A cosy resturant that serves delicate steak and tender grill chicken. Dimly lit, a great place for couples to enjoy their candle-light dinner!

When back to work after that. Mid-night shift again!

26 December 2006
Early in the afternoon, when to Plaza Singapura with Xing Fu and Brendan to catch, Curse of the Golden Flower. It's a "majestic masterpiece", highly artistic and I love it!

Soon after, when to Vivocity! For the first time! yea... I know it's quite late for first time to be at this time. I was suppose to meet Gerald and Aaron at the arcade. But I was lost halfway! With the crowd and so many area sections and i was all alone... I can't tell myself..."Just follow the crowd". Cuz there's crowd everywhere! So it took me about 15min to get to the arcade from Candy Empire. Goodness, that infamous candy goodie which disallow wheelchair bounded. Later on, Junie and Shimin arrived and Gerald and Aaron made a move. The two girls accompanied me to have my brunch/dinner at one of the many eateries and later on, the Beauty went to do some shopping while I was crapping around with them as usual. We went to Toys R Us too, and goodness, we behaved as if we don't have childhood! Grabbing those innocent soft toys and hitting one another! I think that's one of girls favourite past time. Soon, Weiwen came and off we went to watch Charlotte's Web. It's really a touching film. Sobbed when Charlotte(the spider) died. She's really a true friend of Wilbur(the pig). I guess she has brought to us a new meaning of friendship. It's really touching. Wilbur is very cute too! Lovely. Later on when back with them to the bus stop opposite Broadrick. Waited for bus while chatting with Junie about girl guides and red cross. When I waited for an hour till 1am, I had no choice but to take a cab back, and she slowly strolled home.

27,28,29 December 2006 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Monotonous. Three day straight mid shift. 2.30pm till 11pm. I bleddy hate this shift! Cuz I practically have no free time to go out or do anything. So there's nothing I can say here.

30 December 2006 - Saturday
Once again for the fourth time in a row, I worked the mid shift. Having to been frustrated over being deprived of free time to catch movies, straight after work, I took bus 36 from my workplace, the airport, all the way to cathay cineleisure, where I watched two midnight shows, Death Note 2: The Last Name and Night at the Museum. I just love Death Note 2!!! Yea, I'm one of the millions of fans around the globe. My favourite catchphrase in the movie is,
"Chec-Mae-Toe".
Lai-Toe(Light) said it to L twice and he's just awesome when he said it. And my favourite japanese actress is Erika Toda who played the role of Misa Amane. She's so darn cute!!! In the movie, she's dressed in gothic lorlita style, which simply means sexy cute style, which is perfect for her looks.

Night at the Museum is an enormously entertaining movie! You gotta catch it! After the movies, it's around 5am and all I had to do was to wait for about 10 minutes for the earliest bus to arrive and off I went home.

31 December 2006
Upon reaching home, I didn't really slept for long. About four hours or something. Later on at 12 o'clock, I met up with Brenda and Xing Fu and went to escape theme park. Better catch the $6 tickets before it returns back to $16. I just love those rides, especially Revolution. Estatic I'll describe it. You'll feel so... out of body... Splendid! Other rides too were fun and highly entertaining. And Go Kart rocks!

After that, went back to work. Unbelievable... some much fun, some much work, and so little sleep.

1 January 2007 Monday
New Year's Day!!! While people are at Vivo, Orchard or Marina Bay, there I am at the airport working mid-night shift, and had a mini count-down of our own with my colleague. What a desired New Year Celebration. No fireworks, no TVs... no loved ones... Just planes and flight announcements. Great.
What's more I was over-timed till 1pm! 11pm-1pm. Overtime pay: $12 Splendid! That day, I slept till evening.

2,3,4,5 January 2007 - Tuesday till Friday
Worked most of the time. Nothing much.

6 January 2007 - Saturday
Watched Death Note 2 again! Yup. Cuz my cousin wanted to watch and dragged me along. Well, I don't mind at all. I love the movie!

7 January 2007- Sunday
Another day, working the whole day!

8 January 2007 - Monday
When to Plaza Singapura with Gregory to catch Blood Diamond. It's one of the longest film. Two hours plus. And it's a well balanced moving. It's one of the films which mingles with your heart. At one time making it pound with it's non-stop action scenes and another time touched your heart with the portrayal of the evil side of humanity. Truly an award-winning production. Perhaps some girls watch it just to see Leonardo?! Who knows!

After that, when to east coast park for a jog. From the macdonald underpass to bedok jetty: 20min+. Rested for a while at the jetty and enjoyed the sunset. It was beautiful. The dawning sky above the vast sea. Splendid. Then later on, jogged back to Parkway to meet up with Roy, who had taken up one-week free membership with Planet Fitness. We gym for an hour or so, and off we called it a day.
