::Wei-Bertism: The Revolution::

Wei Ren Speaking,

I miss blogging!!! yea i know its been weeks since my last posts. Well as you know, I'm a 'busy man':
Working all day in the airport,
watching movies after movies,
attending birthday parties and house warmings,
chasing girls,
making new friends,
going for open houses,
going gym,
evening joggings at east coast park,
undergoing my makeover,
late night cycling,
kung fu session with my buddy,
tennis sessions with schoolmates,
big time shopping with my pay at queensway,
attending officer course,
going back to Broadrick for trainings,
collecting back results,
and blah blah blah...

It's one of those things. When one reached this point of his life, his life is full of activities and programmes which are fun and enjoyable, better yet it's the things that he wants to do, and not obliged to do. However, even with these moments, it's not necessary that he's happy.

Just like those men and women who have reached their midst of their lives and started to feel depressed and sad as their souls have yet to realise their purpose of this lifetime. And that's known as the infamous Mid-life Crisis. I'm experiencing the same emotions but of course, for different reasons. Hmm, I shall term it, Wei Ren Crisis. =p

Wei Ren Crisis: A state whereby Wei Ren is facing emotional turbulence. It can happen in two ways: Eventful and Spontaneous. Eventful is when Wei Ren face sufferings due to external events which can't be controlled by him and the circumstances knock him out hard. Example, her la! who else! As for spontaneous, Wei Ren can experience mood swings and bad times at just any moment at any time at anywhere without any warning! Example, hours after i received my O's results, my happy mood just went all the way down to a state of sadness!

Both are extremely lethal and harmful as it affects how Wei Ren behaves and think, and how he interact with others. Most of the time when he sufer Wei Ren Crisis, he'll behave in a way that's not himself. He'll keep quiet more often than ever. He can't sleep. He can't eat even!(yes! it's that powerful!) The cause and existence of Wei Ren Crisis is still under research. It is made up of great complexity that mysteries behind it can never be solved.

Fortunately, there's a solution to it. Clarification.
It's a powerful tool that solves all woes. However, it takes time to master it. But once it's mastered, you're the king of your own world! Happier than ever before!

Enough of those 'emo emo thingy', it's just me, please bear with it. Well if you visit a blog linked on the right column of this blog, You'll find even more of this stuffs. And whenever I visit her blog, I'll just put myself in her shoe and feel the pain that she felt. Sigh, how i wish guys can be nicer to people like her. Hey, no offense this time! Serious! Well anyway, i shall not say too much about others, as this's how misunderstandings always occur!

Here's the real deal, O Level Result! Although I didn't score real well, but i'm proud of it!

L1R5 - 16
L1R4 - 12
English - B3
Chinese - B3
E Maths - B3
Phy/Chem - A1
Geography - A2
Literature - B4
History/S.S. - C5
Art - C6
I'm not bragging la. Not so thick skin anyway. I'm satisfied but on the other hand, not really contented. Well firstly, my maths. Prelims - F9. Improved by 6 grades! English, from C5 to B3, improved by 2 grades. Chinese during June Paper, C5. Improved by 2 grades too. Phy/Chem for Prelims, B3, improved by 2 grades. Geography for prelims, B4. Improved by 2 grades. History/S.S. and Art remains the same.
When people ask me how i study, seriously, i didn't know what to answer them. Because i don't want them to follow what i did: One week before the main papers- chiong tuition and tys, read all the guide books and revision notes. 2 hours before each paper- face the books as if it's the girl I like. That's it! Man, for the whole of the year, it's only during this time when i study seriously, seriously. How i wish i study a few hours more so that those 3 B3s i got could become A2!!!! ARghh!!! But I'm proud of myself for doing better than I thought. I take pride with my achievements, and not being arrogant about it, like some people. I think I'm just lucky this time round with my results! One thing- don't be complacent, there's a 7-pointers in the house, I'm just nothing compared to his results!
Sad to say, I'm forbid to enter JC by my mother. As she said that they couldn't afford to send me to university after that. Well, I have no choice but to oblige to my folks. Well actually, i'm totally fine with this obligations as I'm kind of more interested in going poly.
So, here's my choices.
1st choice - Diploma in Chemical Engineering, TP
2nd choice - Diploma in Aviation Management and Services, TP
3rd choice - Diploma in Biotechnology/Biomedical Science, TP
4th choice - Diploma in Electronics, Computer and Communications Engineering, NYP
5th choice - Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, NYP

Due to their guilt of taking away my freedom of not able to choose to enter JC, which i'm fine, and also being happy over my results, they're going to compensate/reward me with a brand new laptop! Splendid! I'm gonna own a computer for the first time!!!!

I've already started making plans for my laptop. Here's what i'll download and install:
Windows Xp Home Edition
Macromedia Dreamweaver
Photoshop
DVD ripper
Alice (an animation software download)
MP3 encoder
All sound recoder
Realplayer
Language learning CD-rom(Japanese)
Windows Messenger

my whole redcross unit who had confidence in me and supporting me always!
Ambrose Sir who had always been there to guide me.
I know i hadn't been a good classmate or schoolmate to some of you. I apologise. True, I may not have many friends in school and outside, but at least there's true friends which i could count on and make my day. I'm contented with that. You all rock my life!

Honestly, I was suffering throughout sec 4! Sigh, glad it's over, yet, I MISS BROADRICK!!!! Those memories, will always occupy a space in my heart.

So what's next?

Right now i'm attending Volunteer Instructor Programme under redcross youth. Upon passing this course, i'll return back to broadrick redcross unit as an officer and help/guide the unit towards attaining excellence.

Also, I'm currently working for a F&B brand call Mix. It has 3 branch. Changi Airport T1, OUB Building and Raffles City Shopping Centre. I'm located in Changi Airport T1 Transit Lounge. I love this job as the pay is not bad - $6/hr and $7.50/hr for midnight shifts. Also, it's one the healthiest brand in the F&B industry. I can drink fresh orange juice, apple juice and all types of smoothies for free! The environment in the airport is great! I'm working side by side with aeroplanes! ESPN channel is just in front of my workplace! That's when i saw superbowl and english premier league live! There's rest areas to sleep when i'm tired while working midnight. I learnt to cut fruits in lightning speed! With style too! I made great friends, although i'm the youngest there. I like the customers, who varied from Australian to Zimbabwean. I learn to speak basic japanese. Yup. So those interested in this job, feel free to contact me, only when you can commit to at least two months. As they don't want one-month workers, or those who can only work for weeks.

Wow! I can't believe it! I watched 11 movies in the month of January! That's like 3 movies a week on average. A record for me!
Best - Blood Diamond
Funniest - Kung Fu Mahjong 3
Lamest - Borat
Most gross - Apocalypto
Most controversial - Babel
Most boring - Pan's Labyrinth
Most Powerful - Conversations with God
Most intriguing - The Illusionist
Most inspirational - Gridiron Gang
Most artistic - One Last Dance
Least best - School for Scoundrel

As for the month of February, there's 7 must-watch movies!

Alright, until next time!

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All
by Air Supply
written by Jim Steinman

I know just how to whisper,
And I know just how to cry;
I know just where I find the answers;
And I know just how to lie.
I know just how to fake it,
And I know just how to scheme;
I know just when to face the truth,
And then I know just when to dream.
And I know just where I touch you,
And I know just what to prove;
I know when to pull you closer,
And I know when to let you loose.
And I know the night is fading,

And I know the time’s gonna fly;
And I'm never gonna tell you everything I gotta tell you,
But I know I've got to give it a try.
And I know the roads to riches,

And I know the ways to pain;
I know all the rules and then I know how to break'em
And then I always know the name of the game.

But I don't know how to leave you,
And I'll never let you fall;
And I don't know how you do it,

Making love
out of nothing at all x8

Everytime I see you well the rays of the sun are all
Streaming through the waves in your hair;
And every star in the sky is taking aim at your eyes
Like a spotlight,
The beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost
And it's looking for a rhythm like you.
You can take the darkness from the deep of the night
And turn it to a beacon burning endlessly bright.
I gotta follow, it 'cause everything I know
Well, it's nothing 'till I give it to you.

I can make the run or stumble,
I can make the final block;
And I can make every tackle at the sound of the whistle,
And I can make all the stadiums rock.
I can make tonight forever,

Or I can make it disappear by the dawn;
And I can make you every promise that's ever been made
And I can make all your demons be gone,

But I'm never gonna make it without you.
Do you really wanna see me crawl ?
And I'm never gonna make it like you do,
Making love
out of nothing at all.
Making love

Out of nothing at all...

6:26 PM

Wei Ren Speaking,

What the?! It's 2007 already! Time really flies. From day to day, month to month, and now, year to year. Soon when we get older, we'll know how it's like for tine to fly from decade to decade.

It's already the second week of the new year. And that means I haven't been posting for three weeks more or less. Alright, since I'm experiencing a 1 week break from my work, I shall continue from when I stopped.

Hmm... My last post is on... Saturday, 24 December 2006. Alright!

24 December 2006 - Sunday

It's X'mas Eve. And on this day every year, my family will be hosting the annual X'mas party! It has been part of the tradition and that is why, ever since as a child, I had always been looking forward for X'mas to arrive, not because Santa Claus will give me whatever I want, but rather, to celebrate with my family as a whole. Let me recall- when did this tradition started? When I was six years old... and that means 2006 is the 10th Celebration! Cool!

What's more, this year's celebration was put to a huge surprise by me! Well, it's the first time I'm giving out presents to everyone in my family. And also to my friends as well. These presents are specially made by my own hands, and each of them are unique and different from each other. Well it took me four nights to finish them up. Cuz I have to work in the day and it's only in the night can the creative side of me be active. It cost me $130+ altogether to buy all the materials and in total I made 40 presents! So that's roughly $3 each. and also the cost of fatigue for lack of sleep, hunger from money shortage due to using up $100 over at once and also the effort I put in. And that's why I'm proud of these gifts I made. All forty of these are given to their respective recipients except a rejected one. Ironically, the rejected one is the most valuable, most time consuming one to make and the one which I put in the most effort to design and create. This poor little masterpiece is now lying down in my room, and I have no idea how long it's gonna lie down there for. Just too bad for me. Most of the presents were given to my family. It doesn't only consist of my mum and dad. Rather, it includes all my relatives- uncles, aunties, cousins, and my beloved grandpa whom I resides with. 20 of them altogether. The rest of the gifts are given to those friends whom I'm meeting over the next few days. Actually I would really like to make more presents as there are some more friends I would like to give yet I couldn't get a chance to meet up with them, so I just have to drop to idea. Sorry guys. X'mas 2006 is the best Christmas for me, yet! It will be infinite times better, if that little rejected one, will be appreciated not just by me, but by the respective recipient as well.

25 December 2006 - Monday
Had X'mas dinner with Gregory, Xing Fu, Brendan, Melissa and Weni. It was at The Ship Resturant, at Shaw Centre, Orchard. A cosy resturant that serves delicate steak and tender grill chicken. Dimly lit, a great place for couples to enjoy their candle-light dinner!

When back to work after that. Mid-night shift again!

26 December 2006
Early in the afternoon, when to Plaza Singapura with Xing Fu and Brendan to catch, Curse of the Golden Flower. It's a "majestic masterpiece", highly artistic and I love it!

Soon after, when to Vivocity! For the first time! yea... I know it's quite late for first time to be at this time. I was suppose to meet Gerald and Aaron at the arcade. But I was lost halfway! With the crowd and so many area sections and i was all alone... I can't tell myself..."Just follow the crowd". Cuz there's crowd everywhere! So it took me about 15min to get to the arcade from Candy Empire. Goodness, that infamous candy goodie which disallow wheelchair bounded. Later on, Junie and Shimin arrived and Gerald and Aaron made a move. The two girls accompanied me to have my brunch/dinner at one of the many eateries and later on, the Beauty went to do some shopping while I was crapping around with them as usual. We went to Toys R Us too, and goodness, we behaved as if we don't have childhood! Grabbing those innocent soft toys and hitting one another! I think that's one of girls favourite past time. Soon, Weiwen came and off we went to watch Charlotte's Web. It's really a touching film. Sobbed when Charlotte(the spider) died. She's really a true friend of Wilbur(the pig). I guess she has brought to us a new meaning of friendship. It's really touching. Wilbur is very cute too! Lovely. Later on when back with them to the bus stop opposite Broadrick. Waited for bus while chatting with Junie about girl guides and red cross. When I waited for an hour till 1am, I had no choice but to take a cab back, and she slowly strolled home.

27,28,29 December 2006 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Monotonous. Three day straight mid shift. 2.30pm till 11pm. I bleddy hate this shift! Cuz I practically have no free time to go out or do anything. So there's nothing I can say here.

30 December 2006 - Saturday
Once again for the fourth time in a row, I worked the mid shift. Having to been frustrated over being deprived of free time to catch movies, straight after work, I took bus 36 from my workplace, the airport, all the way to cathay cineleisure, where I watched two midnight shows, Death Note 2: The Last Name and Night at the Museum. I just love Death Note 2!!! Yea, I'm one of the millions of fans around the globe. My favourite catchphrase in the movie is,
"Chec-Mae-Toe".
Lai-Toe(Light) said it to L twice and he's just awesome when he said it. And my favourite japanese actress is Erika Toda who played the role of Misa Amane. She's so darn cute!!! In the movie, she's dressed in gothic lorlita style, which simply means sexy cute style, which is perfect for her looks.

Night at the Museum is an enormously entertaining movie! You gotta catch it! After the movies, it's around 5am and all I had to do was to wait for about 10 minutes for the earliest bus to arrive and off I went home.

31 December 2006
Upon reaching home, I didn't really slept for long. About four hours or something. Later on at 12 o'clock, I met up with Brenda and Xing Fu and went to escape theme park. Better catch the $6 tickets before it returns back to $16. I just love those rides, especially Revolution. Estatic I'll describe it. You'll feel so... out of body... Splendid! Other rides too were fun and highly entertaining. And Go Kart rocks!

After that, went back to work. Unbelievable... some much fun, some much work, and so little sleep.

1 January 2007 Monday
New Year's Day!!! While people are at Vivo, Orchard or Marina Bay, there I am at the airport working mid-night shift, and had a mini count-down of our own with my colleague. What a desired New Year Celebration. No fireworks, no TVs... no loved ones... Just planes and flight announcements. Great.
What's more I was over-timed till 1pm! 11pm-1pm. Overtime pay: $12 Splendid! That day, I slept till evening.

2,3,4,5 January 2007 - Tuesday till Friday
Worked most of the time. Nothing much.

6 January 2007 - Saturday
Watched Death Note 2 again! Yup. Cuz my cousin wanted to watch and dragged me along. Well, I don't mind at all. I love the movie!

7 January 2007- Sunday
Another day, working the whole day!

8 January 2007 - Monday
When to Plaza Singapura with Gregory to catch Blood Diamond. It's one of the longest film. Two hours plus. And it's a well balanced moving. It's one of the films which mingles with your heart. At one time making it pound with it's non-stop action scenes and another time touched your heart with the portrayal of the evil side of humanity. Truly an award-winning production. Perhaps some girls watch it just to see Leonardo?! Who knows!

After that, when to east coast park for a jog. From the macdonald underpass to bedok jetty: 20min+. Rested for a while at the jetty and enjoyed the sunset. It was beautiful. The dawning sky above the vast sea. Splendid. Then later on, jogged back to Parkway to meet up with Roy, who had taken up one-week free membership with Planet Fitness. We gym for an hour or so, and off we called it a day.

Wei Ren Speaking,

Yawn... Guess what, I'm in the midst of my work shift. First time ever had I worked after midnight! 11pm all the way till 8.30am. Well, luckily I'm used to sleeping late.

Yesturday, was a very "different" day, so to speak. It's because a few of my friends and I paid a special visit to the Old Changi Hospital. It's proclaimed to be Singapore's most haunted places. And there we are, trying to measure our guts and entered that creepy hollow. There were five of us, walking in single file with me, unfortunately, positioned at the back of the file. Imagine how it was like for me then. And that is why those standing i front of me had been showing concern and worrying for me. I appreciate it alot, Thanks! Nevertheless, I too, was worry about you guys! About the place, it'll fulfill whatever you'll thought it'll be like to be one of the most hauted place ever. What's more, it's raining! And after a few days of thunderstorms, the building was somewhat flooded, as the rain busted through those cracked windows and bombarded those wards of oblivion. There's a total of six storeys and we successfully when to the sixth one, with everyone in one piece. The hospital is solid dark. Some rooms and lifts we passed, were as dark as dark space! Even the skies are brighter than the interior of the building. After an hour or so, we left the area.

Christmas is literally round the corner, and on that night after the trail, I quickly got home to prepare my christmas presents. Everything was hand-made. Hence, I do till my eyelids and hands just stopped and ordered me to bed. That was about 5am.

I couldn't sleep for long, no matter how late I slept. Once I woke up at twelve noon, I quickly wash up and drank Avo-Cino and rushed to Reynold's house, to settle some business with him. After it's done, I rushed down to Parkway to meet up with Wileen.

It's her 2nd Day in Planet Fitness and I enjoyed her accompany. If only more girls are as motivated as her to keep fit and healthy. Kudos to her! Right after gym, we met up with Roy and we went up to my house, where I grabbed my uniform for work, while Roy was playing my keyboard and Wileen watching the 7pm drama serials. Soon, we took the cab to town. Planned to watch Charlotte's Web, but we were to behind time, as I had to purchase some art materials I need to prepare my christmas presents at Ngee Ann City. Then off we went to Cineleisure, where we had our dinner and later on, to the arcade. It's fun playing the ice-hockey, shooting as well as pool! After some time, we took an mrt and came all the way here to work, and also to be able to blog now!

Just now, I received a terrible news which seriously spoiled my mood for the night. Even now I'm still hurt and furious over it. Apparently, one of my good friend, was forced to take an action which really really hurts me and put me back into misery. Never had I felt such obligations and helpless to do anything so as to improve the situation for myself. I know she wasn't to be blamed and she had to do the right thing. Honestly, I'm still angy with her, but I understands that she has no choice. I trust her, and I believe I'm trusting the right person. I just felt being screwed up all over again. And I just have this feeling that, this particular good friend of mine is turning her back against me! But i just believe she isn't that kind.

So be it, so be it. I just have to make do with it. Actually, nothing much is lost. It's just an opportunity that was. And that's something one will never know whether it'll be just another one, or it'll be the last one I'll ever have. And with this situation going on, I just have to change my plans for Christmas Eve. But it's just this very question that couldn't put my mind in peace, "Is She the one who told her to do such a thing?" Well, I'm having a dilemma of whether do I want to hear the truth or not, as I'm afraid, that I just can't handle the truth.

Wei Ren Speaking,

Didn't blog for two weeks. Rating's have been dropping and some unidentified people tagging. Didn't really take good care of this blog. Albert...where's your poems you said you want to post right here? That guy is a poetic one! Just like me! :p

Oh yes. There's some changes to the Weirenism Zacharian Ultimate Xtreme 360 Makeover. Although it was officially launched since about a month ago, it had only just started last week. Well, cuz I kinda failed in balancing the makeover and my working schedule, and nevertheless, and movie and friends outing schedule. From now onwards, I shall put in more effort and discipline in managing my time. Therefore, I shall rank my priority.

Utmost Important- Sleep (without it... I can forget about doing anything!)
Most Important- The Makeover
Very Important- Work
Important- Friends and Family
Less Important- Movies

One major change is that, the actual deadline of the Makeover which was published, has now become the deadline of Weirenism Zacharian Ultimate Xtreme 360 Makeover- Phrase 1.

12 weeks are never enough. Having been obese for so many years, how could a mere 3 months do the job? Moreover, my life has never been more hectic than now. And therefore, to be pragmatic and realistic further, I have to break up the Makeover into different phrases, with the current one as Phrase 1. Today is a very important where I dedicate my life to answering this very important question. It is very ambiguous and I need many to help me in answering it.

Situation happened like 2 days ago. When me and my Pal were at some MacDonalds. Well, just opposite us, within my range of sight, a guy was eating his food alone. He ate his food halfway, and when downstairs to collect his nuggets or whatever since that branch is a 2 storey Macs.

Quite coincidentally, there was a Mac's worker on a bad mood so she just cleared that guy's food. Still quite alot of fries left and she just cleared it. Sadly, the guy came back and found his food missing, he was curious as to who did it.

I witnessed the whole incident and wanted to approach him to tell him who did it but my pal told me no. She told me to stay put. The customer soon left and I asked her WHY. She told me that the worker there may get fired. Now this is a No-Win Situation.

As we debated on for couple of minutes, that particular worker when trying to keep her bucket and mop made a hell lot of noise. An infernal noise perhaps...Everybody just stared at her, I was thinking, so what if she is in a bad mood...she still must not throw tantrums. Fortunately, some malay guy from Mac's delivery was at the scene shouted at her that there are customers.

Within a day. I find the basic concepts of man that every knew got turned upside down...There is an answer to solve this problem at that very instant is there not?? Most people will help the customer, others will help the worker, and maybe, some others will help both in option C, that is to give the money back to the customer and warn the worker. However, is there a definite answer??

Feeling guilty not telling the customer who did it but also feeling a little ambiguous as to who to help...

The question you have to ask yourself (and answer yourself with total honesty) - would you be willing to intervene if you were present, and if so, how would you intervene?
